SriLankan Airlines Hosts Special Program for Buddhist Monks
SriLankan Airlines, in collaboration with Ceylon Airport and the Airport Services Company, organized a special program on August 22, 2024, to commemorate the 45th anniversary of SriLankan Airlines. The event took place at the Kalutara Delduwa Vaskaduwa Raja Maha Vihara, which involved participation from the monks of the monastery, including the Sangha and the benefactors of the temple.
The monks, including those from the Vihara, were given a detailed explanation of how ground operations are conducted by SriLankan Airlines and airport officials at Bandaranaike International Airport. They had the opportunity to experience the airport environment and the A320 aircraft used by SriLankan Airlines up close.
Following this, a donation was made to the monks as a part of the program, and the monks were invited to the silk route arrival lounge . Offerings such as food and other religious items were presented as part of the rituals.
The event saw participation from SriLankan Airlines staff, senior management, and representatives from Ceylon Airport and other senior management personnel.
